First, just back up your flash disk (you should not need dot 5) onto a cf card, then you do not have to worry about your documents. I assume your unit is not under warranty, so you may consider this: take your bn to a local computer store and see if they will remove the keys to clean under them, then put the keys back. A friend of mine spilled something on his vn classic and had a shop clean it like this, and it is still running strong. If you do not feel comfortable entrusting your machine to people not used to working on it (though just the keyboard is not very specialized) you can call hw and see how much it would be. I am in the United States so cannot provide additional information. Best of luck!!

Have a great day,
Alex

Subject: [Braillenote] Help With Repairing Braillenote Classic

Hi All

I purchased a Braillenote Classic about a year ago from a friend.
I use it
at home but more so, I use it for work. Last night I had to
Braille out
quite a lengthy document for work and today when I brought my
machine into
work, I noticed the dot 5 key is sticking. I am unable to use it
properly
and it is so frustrating. Has this ever happened to anyone on
this list and
if so, how much would it cost in GBP Sterling to get it repaired?
I have a
lot of documents that I need for work and I would hate to lose
them all so
can it be fixed without having to reset the machine back to
manufacturer
settings?

Help please someone!

Regards

Anne in N Ireland
