Unfortunately...this was precisely the same error I had with a
brand-new BrailleNote last summer, and a replacement unit was
required.

If you're lucky, it will be a one-time thing.  If you're not, you
really could have a few corrupted parts on your flash disk.  To test
this, continue copying files to the disk until one of two things
happens - you receive an "out of memory" error, which is what you
want, or you receive "the system cannot find the sector requested",
which means that part of the flash disk is corrupted.

If the latter is the case, you'll probably need to send your unit
back, if you want it fixed.
