Hi Ray,
So, you use the same BrailleNote at home and work, with the same
email account, and it works at home but not at work?
Is it a different ISP at work?
If so, you might need a different setting to connect to the
wowway server.
I have something like this.
If I use dial up and uko2 I need one SMTP server, but if I use
broadband and free2serve to send email through my uko2 account, I
need another server.
(The pop server is the same for both).
Regards,
Steve.

Subject: [Braillenote] Problem Connecting to Send E-mail
Hello All:
Just yesterday, I changed e-mail addresses at home. I was able
to
connect my Braille Note to my home network and send and receive
e-mail
with my new provider with no problems.
Here at work, however, when I connect the Braille Note to the
internet
and try sending e-mail, I get an Error 10061, error connecting to
SMTP
Server. My settings are as follows:
SMTP Server: smtp.mail.wowway.com
SMTP Authentication: Yes
Secure Connection for SMTP Server: No
SMTP Port: 25
I have these same settings on my computer here at work using the
same
internet connection and when I try sending mail off the computer
I'm
getting the same 10061 error. I have also tried setting my SMTP
Port to
587 with SSL both set to Yes and No and these do not work either.
Thoughts anyone?
Thanks,
I'm running Keysoft Version 7.5, Build 28. Also, I tried
changing the
Security and Port settings to Security of Yes and SMTP Port of
465 or
587 and this didn't work either.
Any ideas?
