Hi list,
I got a connect plus 128 mb wi-fi card last Christmas for my braillenote, and
it's been working fine up until this week. I know for a fact that our wireless
modem is working perfectly, we have internet on our laptop and desktops, so
it's not at all the internet connection, and I have reset the braillenote, but
it is only seeing my wireless configuration intermitently, and it will connect
for about 1 minute, and then it will suddenly announce, not connected. Then,
when I scan for wireless networks, it says, no visible network. I know this
isn't true because my laptop sees my wireless connection just fine. I asked my
husband if my light on the wireless card was on, and he said it was blinking
and was not solid. Does this mean my card has finally gone out? The braille
note still recognizes the network card and the compact flash card. Is a year a
good average life for a wi-fi cf card? I would hate to assume it wasn't
working, throw it away, and buy another card, just to have the same problem,
but I kind of need this wireless connection back soon. Any ideas why sometimes
my bn sees the network and sometimes it doesn't, when the modem is working fine
on my desktop where it is connected to my wireless router? I can be on my bn
downloading an email and it will disconnect suddenly and not see the connection
again for days.
Kerri
