It is the braille display that does it, especially with the old displays. A voicenote is quite light compared to a braillenote. Other than that I am not sure, but would guess the battery, then the motherboard (which is quite light).

Have a great day,
Alex

Hey, did anyone ever answer this one? I'm curious, too.

What makes most of the weight for a BN?

Curiously, Darla

You can have stereo speakers that are not of concert quality; if
you want
them louder or with more bass, then they would get much bigger,
but just
having two small ones will not make a difference, especially if
they cut
some weight in other areas.

Hi Alix, I disagree with you totally about the speaker. If the
person wanted a stereo speaker, it would make a huge difference
in weight.
