hi there, I think that was a little harsh.

Subject: Re: [Braillenote] Incorrect error from dots 3&5 at menu
prompt UEB,(was Bug)
hi, I'm just wondering what does it matter if the BrailleNote
says dots 3 5
instead of dots 2 3 on the main menu? If that key stroke doesn't
do
anything on the main menu but it says it correctly in keyword or
anyother
place that it matters. So please stop talking about a possible
bug that
really doesn't affect the usage of the unit and lets focus on
problems and
solutions that the members here have or have to offer. After all
this is a
support mailing list that HumanWare were nice enough to offer us
to help
each other when we have a hard time getting tech support on the
phone.

UEB,(was Bug)
Hi, but the thing is I get it everywhere not just in the menus.
While
writing this I have done the In contraction with dots 3 5 and
the
braillenote has said dots 2 5.
So it is a bug no matter where you press the keys as long as you
are using
Ueb.

Hi,
Few things.
As has now been established, this issue is only in UEB.
It could be described more as an "unexpected results", because
entering dots 3 and 5 at any menu prompt is an erroneous thing to
do.
So, yes, it is true the BN says "2 5", when it would be better if
it said "3 5", but it's a "command" which the Bn is only expected
to respond to with an error.
It's not too big an issue.
Regards,
Steve.

Okay, this is not a bug. In ueb, the bn does not speak
contractions, it just says the dot pattern of any symbol.
Have a great day,
Alex
