I have sent this twice, however haven't actually received it!
I was in keyweb and downloaded a file which I discovered to be
pdf. I know the BN doesn't handle pdf. When I've tried to find
it, using the x with space, I can't! I downloaded it to the
downloads folder, however, I can't find it.
Any help please?
Peter.

Hi Blake,
Perhaps I could have put it better.
From the main menu choose utilities.
Under utilities choose application program.
At this point it will offer you a drive, select Keysoft system
disk.
When it asks for a folder, choose Windows.
You will then be prompted "Program name?" and you need to get to
cmd.exe to run it - press enter when you have got to it in the
list.
It will prompt "Command line?".
Here you enter "/k dir/s *.* >dir.txt" - without the quotes.
(You could make the *.* *.jpg instead, unless the BN has changed
the file name.
I think people have seen unexpected file names at times from
downloads).
Anyway, check the dir.txt file in Keysoft system disk/ and search
the downloads folder and for .jpg you should hopefully find
something.
Regards,
Steve.

Hi All. The way that was suggested to do it by installing an
application program, doesn't work for me. I am pretty sure I
have it all correct, But I don't know. Please assist? Cheers,
Blake.

Hi,
Have you tried doing a directory and searching for all including
hidden?
Another way to check for files is to use utilities, application,
choose cmd.exe in the KeySoft System Disk/windows and enter "/k
dir/s *.* >dir.txt" at the prompt.
This will put a file in the System Disk none folder called
dir.txt containing a directory of your whole Flash Disk.
Look through that for ".jpg".
Regards,
Steve.

find it. Where oh where could it be?
Peter.

hi.
My connection is broadband, but i'm not sure what the speed is.
I have tried saving the file to my 256MB sd card, but it's the
same.
When i tried again to download it again after my original
message, it got to around 21 % and then just sat there, doing
nothing but beeping.
I'm still open to suggestions.

Hi Robert,
Are you using a dial up connection or broadband?
Do you know what speed it is?
With dial up it takes something like two and a half minutes for
one MB, about 4% of that file.
Have you tried downloading it on to another drive like SD or CF
card or memory stick?
Regards,
Steve.

Subject: [Braillenote] problem downloading an audio file: please
help
hi list.
I'm trying to download an audio file from the internet. It is
around 26 MB and there is around 54 MB on my flash disk.
When I select the folder and filename, it started beeping and it
displayed: "Please wait. 0 % complete." But it just kept beeping
and it stayed at 0 % and didn't change.
I've tried loads of things including resets and not luck. Please
help me!!!
Thanks.
PS. my virtual memory was around 32 % when i downloaded the file
and it is set to download audio files, not stream them.
