Hi Sarah. I am not an expert on this but still I will try to answer your questions, I hope someon who knows more also responds. My experience with daisy files on braille note has not been very fruitful one. I find Braille note to be extremely inefficient with large files. I believe the patrons will benefit more if you divide the large books in to various volumes. Coming to your questions and my limited responses.
1. What versions of Daisy does the BN support?
I have tried 2.0 on the bn, I believe with the latest build it can handle up to 2.5 or may be even version 3.
2. What is the exact file set required by the BrailleNote?
The daisy books I have tried on the BN are combination of four file types, ncx, smil, xml and opf.

3. What software packages produce Daisy books that can be handled by the
BrailleNote?

I use kurzweil version 11 to produce daisy files and mostly they work.
Hope that helps a bit.
Regards

Subject: [Braillenote] Daisy on the BrailleNote

I work at a library for the blind, and our Instructional Materials
Center would like to start distributing Daisy files to students with
BrailleNotes. My questions are these:

1. What versions of Daisy does the BN support? 2.0? 2.02? 3.0?

2. What is the exact file set required by the BrailleNote? For
instance, does the BN require the file *.ncx in order to open a Daisy
book?

3. What software packages produce Daisy books that can be handled by the
BrailleNote?

I appreciate any and all feedback.
