It's times like this when, as a trainer, I want to jump up and down and wail
loudly. Reason, the first thing one needs to know about a piece of equipment,
after how to turn it on and off, is how to obtain help when needed. No, I'm
not advocating reading the entire manual before operating the device, but one
should at least know how to obtain help when you need it.

The BN is, in its way, one of the most user friendly pieces of adaptive
equipment around because of its manual and its context sensitive help. To
reach that oh, so, important manual, press space-o if using a BT and then the
letter u. You will be asked if you want the TOC or the index. You can take it
from there. Even more importantly, the context sensitive help is excellent,
and in the case of this question is the place to go for the answer. Here's how.

First, start an email message by pressing E for email, then using the spacebar
to go down to 'write an email'.

2. Press 'enter' here.

3. Now you will be in the 'to:' field of the message. Here, you press
space-h. h is for help not homocide, as Sue Graphton thinks. Oh, I like
Graphton, but in this case she's flat wrong. <smiling>

OK, so if you press the space-h chord, you will be given a list of things you
can do from the position you're in. You navigate this list by using the
spacebar or the backspace. In that little list is an item that says that if
you press backspace with the letter l as in lookup, I forget what Graphton says
L stands for, liable maybe? This will bring you to a dialog where you can
lookup and add an address to your email.

This context sensitive help works wherever you are in Keysoft. It is a
singularly wonderful feature, and I use it often.

HTH,
Ann P.
