very good reasons! If you want any info, why don't you ask for email
addresses rather than phone numbers? If you are their friend or family,
however, and you have their address to write email, then that's a different
story.

Dear List members, I just wanted to say that asking for peoples phone
numbers on a list is inappropiet on lists. Why? you ask, because some
people don't want to give it out for personal reasons. Maybe they still
live with their parrents and their mom and dad don't want people calling
at certain times in the day. It is preferable to ask for an email address
because that person just wants to be contacted via email. I guess what I
am trying to say is. If your going to ask for someone then ask for his or
hers email address. Some people have other reasons. I for one prefer to
be contacted via email because I still live with my parrents.
