Try using 3.8 instead of 4.5. Plug in your bn with usb like normal, then your bn should make the "connecting" sound (5 tones, the last one fading, well not really tones, but you get the idea). Then the pc should pop up a dialog about setting up a partnership. To just view and manage files, select "do not set up a partnership", and to use KeySync, select "set up a partnership". If you do not get this dialog, or the computer does not even make the "connected" sound (a few ascending chimey kind of tones), then I have found the only thing to do is to go to the folder holding the activesync files (in the program files folder), and press enter on all the .exe files you see. I have had to do this, and eventually the pc will connect when you launch one of the .exe files, though I do not remember which one. You might also try uninstalling and reinstalling ActiveSync. The main problem could very well be the version, though; try going from 4.5 down to 3.8, which you can get from the hw website. HTH, and sorry I could not have helped more here.

Have a great day,
Alex

I have XP Professional with Active Sync 4.5. Sorry that I forgot to include
that.

Which version of Windows are you using? This will change instructions
completely.

Can someone please walk me through how to connect the bn to the USB with
Active Sync? I cannot get my computer to recognize my bn.

Thanks in advance,
Nicole
