Hi, it is certainly okay to use the impower while it is plugged
in. The braille impower does not have to be all the way
discharged for you to charge it. The braille note will charge
all the way even when it's off. You can charge it when ever you
would like. You can check your battery status by going to the
options menu. To go to the options menu, press space with o
anywhere. Press p in the options menu. And it will say how much
power it has and if it is connected to the adapter. For example,
when you press p in the options menu, you will hear or read
something like this. level: 50 percent. adapter: off. If your
braille note is connected to the adapter it will say: level 50
percent adapter: on.
Paul
Hope this Helps.

Subject: [Braillenote] Taking Good Care of Battery
I would like to know if it hurts the battery to leave the Braille
Note plugged in when it is sitting on my desk. Also, does the
battery have a memory or do you have to discharge it all the way
before recharging?
In the manual I think it says you can use the Braille Note while
the battery is charging. And, I am assuming it also charges when
the Braille Note is in the off position, which it will be when
I'm not using it. And,is there a way to tell battery status?
Thank you very much for your reply.
Linda
Blessed is the man
that walketh not in the counsel
of the ungodly,
nor standeth in the way of sinners,
nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful,
but his delight is in the Law of the Lord,
and in His Law doth he meditate
day and night.
And he shall be like a tree
planted by the rivers of water
that bringeth forth his fruit
in his season.
His leaf also shall not wither,
and whatsoever he doeth
shall prosper.
Psalm 1
