If you use Windows Media Player to rip the songs, make sure that your rip preferences are set to the mp3 format, since it cannot be protected like wma files can be. If you want to download an mp3, Amazon.com is a great, legal way to do so; I have made an account with them and use my pc to search for and download any mp3 I want; my account automatically uses PayPal to get the song, so all I have to do is download the file and it costs me $0.99 and the bn can play it right away because it is an mp3.

Have a great day,
Alex

Subject: [Braillenote] digital rights management

Hello list and especially H.W.:
On my laptop I am able to play a file that came from an audio
CD. On the Bn, I made a copy on my thumb drive and I excepted the copyright notices. But the BN said that the file could not play beause of digital right management. Will a future upgrade incorporate the file type .wma?
