Blake and all,

Speculating, asking questions, and criticizing (both positively and
negatively) about a new software release is very standard practice
amongst both blind and sighted consumers alike.

Kristen, if needs aren't being met and questions aren't being answered
in the consumer world, being "thankful" is irrelevant: we are, of
course, very fortunate to have Braille displays and/or speech
synthesizers, as you point out; but on the other hand, the BrailleNote
family of products is clearly falling behind other notetakers, and
after investing money and/or time in these units, people are
understandably upset at the lack of promised Word support, software
developer kit, and any kind of explanation from Humanware. So while
I'm deeply thankful to live in the modern, industrialized world that I
do, just nodding and smiling and saying "thank-you" from a consumer
standpoint makes no sense whatsoever.

And Kevin, I apologize - I thought you'd made some reference to
converting files to RTF, but it turns out youu didn't - sorry for the
false quotation.
