well speaking of HP printers, aren't more HP printers going to be supported as of ks8,0? Perhaps this printer will work in the next release.

Hey Dave,
We bought the exact same printer from Hp last year thinking it
would be a great help to us, but it didn't work with the Bn
either. We explain in great detail, while talking with the Hp
sales people about the Bn and they assured us that it would work.
Guess what: it didn't. We did everything under the sun to get
this to work, but it didn't. Send or take it back and get your
money back. If, we could have installed the program on the disk
that came with the printer, it would have probably done fine.
But
we can't install these programs on the Bn as you know.
If somebody actually has, or comes up with a printer that
actually will work with the Bn running 7.5 build 29, don't keep
it a secret, please!!

Subject: [Braillenote] Printing from mPower

Hello listers,

Today I bought an HP people-1005 Laserjet. I chose this printer
for its attractive price and because it is supported by Keysoft
7.5.29.

Having no success printing from Braillenote, we took the printer
back to the shop and had them test it. It worked fine.

I have the Laserjet connected via the usb port (cable provided
with the printer) and Braillenote printer settings set as
follows:

paper length: 66
paper width: 85
use form feeds between pages: yes
pause after each page: no
page offset: 0
printer port: usb
printer type: hp deskjet and laserjet
extended character set: ms-dos

I have done a 456 reboot then carried out the following steps:

(main menu)
word processor
print
print or setup? p
drive? flash disk
folder name? general
document to print? printer test a
printer ready? y

printing of "printer test a" complete

The printer does nothing. What have I missed?

I remain "in suspense"

Dave.
