Of course it also depends on the shipping method you use. The 2
times I sent my bn to be repaired I sent it one day. The first
time I sent it in I sent it in with 2 problems and they also
replaced the battery with no charge. Since at that point the
batteries were being switched from an 1800 nominal reading to the
1650 nominal reading. The send time I think only took a couple
of weeks. So it really depends on what it is being fixed.

Subject: [Braillenote] Repair
Hi, gang: When you're calculating the length of time that you'll
be without your unit, there are a lot of things which come into
play. For one thing, if you send your unit by UPS, it may take
three days for HW to get it. So, if you send your machine in the
middle of the week, they may not get it until the following
Monday. (By the way, this message applies to folks in the
States.) Now, after they get it, they check it in, and then, it
awaits its turn, which might take about three more days. If
everything is pretty straightforward, they can usually tell you
what needs to be done, and how much it will cost in another day.
Assuming that the money is forthcoming, they get on with the
repair. By this time, about two weeks have gone by. If the
repair goes smoothly, they test it, and then, it's ready to go
out. Sometimes things take a bit longer, because you thought it
just needed one thing, but, when they looked at it, they might
find you need three. When they send it out, it takes about three
days or so to get back to you. So, by the time you add
everything up, it's around a month or so, give or take a few
days. At least, this has been my experience. Blessings, Bob
