I have found an undocumented feature (bug) that is interesting:
I have known for some time that after downloading a file, the
name is often corrupted. what I didn't realise until yesterday
was: displaying "all files" in file manager does just that.
Displaying "all files" when choosing a file to open in keyword or
media player "all files" does not.
Via file manager I found a file with a name that only Keysoft
could love, renameed it and listened to the presentation and the
q and a that followed. The thing that I noticed most of all was
the "never say no" philosophy employed by the presenters. For
example: Q: "does Keysoft 8.0 support html e-mail?" A: "we have a
world-around for that". To me that is a big No! There was so
much spin in that presentation that I got quite giddy.
I have used "work-arounds" for over 60 years. Having to do that
still annoys me.
Am I excited by the coming of Keysoft 8.0? No. What would excite
me? Lets take Keymail for instance:
* Filtering by subject into folders
* support for html e-mail
* support for urls in e-mail
* support for word 7 and pdf attachments
* time based trash deletion
Looks like I'll have to wait a while for a "virtual universal
remote control". Funny old world isn't it NOT.
