All:
It is possible to connect the Braillenote as a display via Bluetooth on
a PC running XP and Vista; however we strongly recommend connecting via
serial, using the serial cable provided by Humanware. Below is
information on connecting via Bluetooth.

Bluetooth Braille Terminal FAQ

Blue Tooth Connectivity and

Braille terminal With Jaws.

Please note that these steps were tested on a freshly rebuilt blue tooth
configuration. All instances of blue tooth ports were removed,
including adaptors and anything else that involved blue tooth from the
device manager. Next the Dell Bluetooth software was removed from the
add remove programs list. After restarting the PC, it forced the blue
tooth receiver to be recognized by the windows drivers that were
introduced in service pack 2 and not the Dell drivers that were causing
it to malfunction. After all hardware was recognized I installed the
Dell user interface from the blue tooth software that came with the
adaptor, and a fresh blue tooth configuration was restored.

Connecting to Active Sync 4.5 via Blue Tooth

Active Sync Setup:

The first step that is required when connecting to active sync in this
way is to know the blue tooth com port. This information can be found
in the device manager under ports (com and lpt).

After the com port is known, active sync needs to be set to use that
port when trying to establish a connection. Under the file menu,
connection settings, check the check box that says, "Use one of the
following connections" and choose the blue tooth com port from the combo
box below. Click ok.

>From the main menu, press space with O for options, C for connectivity
and B for Bluetooth.

on it.
Pair and activate the active sync service, once the PC is found. Use
0000 as the authentication code.
When the Braille Note tries to connect, a balloon will pop up asking the
user to enter the authentication code into the pc. Once this is done
the Braille Note should say paired and active.
>From the main menu, Press U for Utilities, M for Miscellaneous options
and space to active sync connection. Press B for bluetooth and press
enter.
Exit out to the main menu, press U for utilities, and connect to active
sync via blue tooth. It will automatically connect and the pc will show
the Braille Note trying to make a partnership.
