Hi folks,
Thanks for the actual text version of my audio tutorial (regarding Bluetooth display under XP). Few comments: * As for Vista, it is due to how ports are set up. It is not JAWS or BrailleNote that's causing this; it is due to the fact that Vista wants to know if there are any services that BrailleNote "exposes" - which does not. In essenence, using Windows Mobile Device Center, you can set up an incoming port, but not an outgoing port. Bluetooth display function requires both input and output (i/o) funcmentality, so if the port setup is one way only, you cannot set it up. * As opposed to Vista, XP assumes that the Bluetooth port is both an incoming and an outgoing port. So, using ActiveSync, you can set up Bluetooth display with XP. For more information about my previous posts about this issue, please consult the archives, or I or someone can forward the actual article.
Cheers,
Joseph
