JMO, but I like hearing it because I know that the restart is going okay. 
The one time that my classic "died" then "resurrected", it died during a 
reset.

Hey Nicole,

I created a WAVE clip that's just a split second of silence, and I use
that as my startup "sound".  People used to give me ugly looks (or so
I assume they would) when the BrailleNote's cheerful musical cry would
interupt a lecture.  I used to have to plug headphones into my mPower
to prevent the sound, or, when I didn't have any, clamp my hand firmly
over the unit's speaker and force a look of determined sanity onto my
face.

So that's another reason for changing your sound!
