Hi Alice,
A bootloader is a program that allows a computer to start its operation. In our case, it provides basic boot services--things that a programmer can do right after BrailleNote resets--including upgrading KeySoft, providing debugging functions and so forth. The bootloader update is availible for mPower units if upgrading from 7.2 to 7.5. For other units, there's no bootloader updater that I know. But all computers have specific program "almost built-in" that allows computers to start. This is true for not only mPower, but also Classic and PK.
Cheers,
Joseph

What's the bootloader? Does the PK have that, too? Can
downloading that fix certain problems?
