Hi all,
I don't even have time to send test messages.
I'm on three lists and they're pretty high trafficked. If I
don't get a message from this list for a few days, then I will
begin to worry. Like for example, in the beginning of last
January, we didn't get messages from this list for about 3 days.
Then all of our inBoxes got flooded.

Hi, the other problem with test messages is people do them when
there hasn't been a message from the list in a couple of hours
just to check if the list is working. high traffic list and I
get no messages from it for a few days then that is when I worry
about it and then to check it I first go up on the lists web page
to see if I can find the problem there before writing to the
list, but some people react by sending off a test message.

I think what people are saying is that when you receive 25
messages in
one batch from one person and a number of them have no content,
then
this causes annoyance, and it is most likely that these emails
will be
deleted without being properly read.
I would also agree with you that it is tiresome when people use
the list
to continually test out their email connection. Some testing is
inevitable, but I could name some members that have had more
email
addresses than I've had hot breakfasts.

Please, please combine posts as it cuts down on the number of
messages
we
all have to wade through, especially when you consider that many
of us

on multiple lists and some may be using dial-up for their E-mail

Internet service.
