You are not missing anything, it just does not work for me. I have no idea why this is true for some units and not others, but there you have it. Thanks for trying, though.

Have a great day,
Alex

Subject: Configuration wireless called "home"

Hi Alex and Blake,

I set up a wireless configuration called home, but most of the
information in there was rubbish - (I.e., I did not make a
working configuration, just one that was called home and was
wireless).
I put in the wireless card, and turned wireless on.
Then I went into email, and connected, at the configuration
prompt typed home, and it asked for the email account.
From this I assumed it had acknowledged the selection of the home
account.
So I aborted that.
Then I went into KeyWeb, selected an address, and again at the
configuration prompt typed home.
After a short wile, it successfully connected me through my usual
wireless account which has a name like nextdoor.
So, it didn't object to the home account name being typed in.
So as yet, I don't think I have reproduced your problem.
What am I missing?
I did not really want to rename my normal configuration account
in case it broke.

Regards,
Steve.

Hi Alex, Blake and list,

Just created a configuration called "home".
Then entered email, chose "connect" and typed "home" at the
prompt.
No problem as it then asked me which email account.
Other account names also work.
This "home" account was created under "New dialup or LAN" under
Connection configurations, in the options menu.
Can you be more specific about the conditions under which you
have the problem and the type of account.

Regards,
Steve.

You know what? I have this problem with my "home" configuration,
but the one I have for my college is able to be typed with no
problems, as can some others. Only my home one seems not to
work.

Have a great day,
Alex

Hi. When the bn asks you to which configuration you would like
to connect, and you type something on the keyboard, it says,
cannot find a configuration called, home. But when you space
through the list, home is there, good as gold. Cheers, Blake.
