Hi, I have also been trying to get one of my Braillenotes to work as a braille display with bluetooth and vista and was told on this list that it can't be done using vista. So from what I know the problem you have is that you are running vista.

I would be happy for anyone to tell me I am wrong because I really want a braille display for my studies and at the moment the only way I am going to be able to do that is to translate all my files into a format that the braillenote can read and since I have quite a few Pdf files it is going to take me some time to do it.

Subject: [Braillenote] Using MPower QT as Braille Display via
bluetooth withwindows vista

Hi folks,

Working with an MPower running 7.5.29. Dell Laptop is running
Windows
Vista. Bluetooth is built-in and operational. I am able to pair
the
braillenote with the pc, and have created a comm port on comm3
using the
bluetooth software. After pairing Braillenote, I am able to
activate
activesync. Yet, I still cannot get the Braillenote to act as a
Braille
display. When I access Braille terminal from the main menu, I
choose
Bluetooth and the Braillenote will beep, and display the words
Braille
terminal. I then unload the screen reader, JAWS, and start it
again, but
nothing changes on the display.

Any suggestions on next steps?

Thanks everyone,
Scott
