Also, see previous messages, if you put the card in while your unit is 
turned off, it will not register it.

Tina are you sure the cards are not high capacity ones?  Also
sometimes I have found that if I put my sd card in to fast it
doesn't register and I need to take it out and put it in again.
Nothing is wrong with it and since I have been putting the card
in slower it registers better now.   Malaina
