Chances are better than good that most newspapers have an on-line subscription service available, but, more than likely you are going to wind up paying for it if you want to see the entire paper. California has bundles of newspapers on NFB Newsline, hard to imagine that you can't find what you're looking for. Keep in mind though, it may require a special type program to read papers on-line even if you pay for them. You need the adobe program most of the time. Hugh

Hi, depending on what papers you are reading, check to see
if the
newspaper has a website by Googling it and then see if you can
get paid or
free subscriptions. Does NSF Newsline not subscribe to your
local paper? I
have never used NFB newsline. Thanks.
Becky

Hi,

Dominique! Thanks for the great tips! Yes, I use Grade II six
dot Braille.
I haven't had much luck with bluetooth so use the Keyspan USB
adapter.
Actually, I would really prefer a multiline refreshable Braille
display! I
think it would be so much easier than an eighteen cell display.
Thanks
again for the great and concise tips!

Becky

I have tried to unsubscribe from this list, but failed. I
followed the
instructions at the bottom of an email, but when this failed, I
went to the
humanware site, and tried unsubscribing from there, both failed.
The content
of the list is fine, but I don't get time to read all the
messages due to
other commitments.

Thanks for any help,

David.

Hello; Listers, Where can I get newspapers by email. I know that
I can get them from NFB Newsline but I don't want these because
they don't have what I want and that's annoying. Can someone
please reply back?

I have an adapter, and I am trying to have my braillenote as a
display with
my laptop. It does not seem to be working. Can anyone shed some
light on
what I might be doing wrong?

Thanks,
Lois

i am not sure if this is happening all the time but when i read
the braille in my email messages, i sometimes find a dot 6 in
places where it shouldn't be ie sometimes a dot 6 which seems to
split a word which is very annoying.
why is this happening and how can i resolve this?
i have checked my braille options and as far as i know my grade
of braille on my braillenote is set correctly.
it means i have to try and check every sentence in emails. it
may be happening in keyword as well.
