All, All joking aside, KS8 was supposed to be here in March and it's still MIA. Many of us purchased SMAs, and while the reception of KS8 was mostly just lukewarm, I think many of us are nevertheless eager to get it and install it. Usually around this time of year, a second, "maintenance" release is being rolled out...but in our case we haven't seen a major upgrade since the fall of 2007!
Maurice and/or another HW representative: can you bring back the policy of being upfront about development efforts with the BrailleNote, and tell us how things are progressing? I think everyone--from new customers just starting to explore the menu system, to experienced KeySoft experts--recognizes the staggering potential of the BrailleNote. While many people say that they want a hardware upgrade, the hardware of the BrailleNote is still far superior to its nearest competition. And many of us love the ease of use and convenience of our BrailleNotes. But we also know that, software wise, the BrailleNote is lagging behind right now, and needs lots and lots of work. We're not seeing the results of that work. Are the developers still working on the BrailleNote project? How are they progressing? When might we see the SDK, originally said to be rolled out by around 2005? And most pressing of all, when will we see anew KS release?
