then I don't know of any options left except getting a new system sadly
which I know isn't something that can't just be done on the drop of a hat.
By the way, i'venever heard of 97 before, I'm thinking it's 98 which I think
does work with an older activeSync, not sure what one though.

That works on a newer computer but not on an older one. Shannon is
running
Windows '97 which means that her computer can't run active sync and
doesn't
have USB ports either. I doubt one can get a floppy drive anymore and I
know you can't get floppy disks anymore either.
As you can see, her options are extremely limited without a PC upgrade.
