i have just started looking at daisy books.
at the moment i am running the "amis" software daisy player on a
toshiba laptop with 4 gig of ram.
however i seem to be running into difficulties and it could
possibly be the software which either stops the naration of a
daisy book halfway through a chapter and then when i reload the
software because the keys do not responde, i lose my place in the
book.
now i am having trouble with it loading any cd after managing
playing the first 2 cds of stephen king's "it" because when i
insert the third cd and bring up "amis" for some reason the cd
won't run and even doing a ctrl plus l to load the cd doesn't
responde or even pressing space to play i get no audio.
the only things i can think of are that my memory has filled on
my laptop temporarily getting the audio from the cd or there is a
bug in the software.
i have tried uninstalling and re-installing with the same results
and i have even tried going back to the first cd which will not
play as it did so i am possibly thinking of a software problem
with "amis."
if i have to transfer my daisy books to my mppower in order to
continue to read them how do i go about copying them to be able
to access the books on the braillenote?
i am in the process of deleting temporary files and defragging my
laptop to see if this will make any difference but i doubt it.
