HI, I'm not sure about your second question but I can respond to your first.
I have flown a few times with my Braillenote and have always had it X-rayed
and haven't had any problems. As long as the staff are trained about the
Braillenote product then you shouldn't have any problems. You may have to
explain it if they aren't trained because with laptops they ask you to
remove the battary before X-ray but you can't do this with the Braillenote.
I have been asked once but I didn't have to explain because another staff
member jumped in and knew what it was. The first time I traveled with one of
my Braillenote products I took a copy of a brochure about it with me just
encase they had any questions but I didn't need it. My dad even carried it
that trip for one leg of the trip and they didn't even question him so most
of the staff we came across must have known about it.

Hope this helps a bit but just be prepared that the staff might not know
about the Braillenote products and you may have to explain a bit about it so
they are happpy with it.

Subject: [Braillenote] screening brailenote at airports and question
aboutlist email

Hi list,
I am flying to tour a training center for the blind on July 13 and am taking
my braillenote with me, but was wondering if any of you had it screened with
X-ray or did you ask for a hand inspection instead? I don't want it to be
damaged by the x-rays so wasn't sure what to do about it. I know laptops can
be x-rayed but didn't know for sure on the bn.
The second question I have is about sending emails to the list here, wither
via desktop pc or braillenote. When I send an email via braillenote to the
Braillenote list, I get a message back saying that my email has been
delayed, and then I don't hear anything else, whether it went through or
whether it didn't. I didn't get a bounce though, it just said it was being
delayed. I have also gotten undelivered notices if I send the list an email
with my braillenote, but when I send them to the list with the pc, they seem
to be ok and people get them and can respond to them just fine. I am
positive that my GMail account on my braillenote is working because
everything else that I send with that account goes through except for this
list. Also I know it works because I can receive emails on it just fine,
it's only sending emails with my GMail to this particular list.
Kerri
