I think an introductory message from your end to the list

Hi everyone, my name is Chris. I've been lurking around this list
since April 2007. I'm a software programmer and have done work with
robotics. I'm on this list because I have friends who are users of the
Braillenote and I watch for anything here that might interest them. I
rarely speak up except if they have a problem or if I'm bored waiting
for my code to recompile. Don't expect to find much sent from me as I
average about 7 emails to the list a year.
Things on my wishlist are: An SDK, the braille terminal feature to
work over an internet socket (e.g. TCP or better yet, TCP encrypted
with SSL) and my own braillenote to hack cause it seems like something
fun to do. The internet socket idea is because it seems like an easy
way to workaround the whole not having an sdk with the exception you
can't feed sound file to the speakers via that.
Software I've setup for my Braillenote using friends include:
A primitive AIM client via a web page.
A webpage to convert memo .wav files to mp3's for them to download
again off my server.
Windows File sharing to allow access to a desktop computer's music
library and a place to backup large files.
A webpage interface to a desktop computer's music program to use the
braillenote as a remote. (e.g. Play, Pause, Next, shuffle, pick from
the library)
And a stupid program that runs on the Braillenote via the utilities
menu and writes a file that says "Hello World" to a specific folder.
That's already more then I expected to write so I guess that will be
all for now.
