Hi,
Few things to try:
* Try reseting your uhit while it is connected via USB cable.
* Are you using the latest Windows Mobile Device Center? If so, it could be
hardware; if not, install the latest version (6.1).
* Try using a different USB cable (if you have one).
As for transfer options, you have an option of USB thumb drives (for about
$30, you can get about 8 GB USB thumb drive that will work both with
BrailleNote and your computer).
As for SD, yes, there are two types: regular and SD High Capacity (HC). If
the sD card says SDHC on its label, then the mPower will not work with it.
Cheers,
Joseph

Subject: [Braillenote] USB CONNECTIVITY PROBLEMS

Hello, I have an Mpower Braillenote and have managed to download all
components I need for the upgrade from V7.5 to V8. Until I've installed V8,
my router won't support wifi to the machine as my router uses WPA
connectivity. I therefore only had the option open to me to transfer the
files via usb cable from my pc to my Mpower as I don't have a cf card has it
got corrupted by my pc and I don't have a usb card reader and the second sd
card I have doesn't seem to be recognised by my Mpower so are there more
than one type? If so, please advise what I should be using. the one i can
use is full of software anyway and I don't have anywhere to store it as it
seems I've got a problem with the transfer using the usb cable. As I'm using
a Pentium 4 pc using Windows Vista Home Premium with SP2 (there is Windows 7
on another machine but it is away being firmware upgraded), what can I do? I
have to use the Microsoft newly created Active Sync prog specially made for
Windows Vista and Windows Sync Center. The Mpower BT is recognised but I am
told by the programme that it's not connected despite having the cable
connected to both machines and both are switched on. Could I need to use the
power cable on the Mpower or if not does there need to be a high battery
power needed?

I look forward to any advice, but my Mpower has just come back from USB
repair and the cable is relatively new.

Cheers for now, Steve
