1. Not sure. They used to do this, and you may still be able
to. Call 1-800-722-3393 and follow the prompts to customer
support, not tech support.
2. Sure, the cables are the same.
3. The cards will work just fine. If you used a pcmcia card, it
may not, but as long as you used only cf cards you should be
fine. The question is: will the files work?? Text will be fine,
but addresses and such may be a problem if your classic had ks6.x
or earlier. If you had 7 or later I think you will be okay. Let
us know if you have trouble getting these files working.
Have a great day,
Alex

Subject: [Braillenote] my new braillenote Mpower
Hello fellow braillenote users:
Well, it took quite a while, but I finally received my brand-new
braillenote mpower in the mail today! Now I'm finally caught up
with
the rest of you. By the way, I just have a few questions before
I dive
into things:
1. When upgrading time comes around again, will I be able to
purchase
the upgrade software on an SD card from Humanware? or will I have
to
purchase my own Sd card.
2. Although the mpower came with its own serial cable, I still
have the
old one from the classic. Is it safe to use the classic's serial
cable
on my mpower?
3. Just before sending my old classic machine in, I backed up
all my
important files onto a compactflash card. Will the compactflash
cards I
currently have work in the mpower? Thanks in advance for
answering my
questions.
Mike a proud owner of braillenote mpower
Rochester, NY.
