Hi all. Can you someone please give me directions to enjoy a virtual walk
from home or any other location for that matter? The gps help is not very
helpful in that. I don't have a GPS yet, so I would like to try things in
virtual mode.
Regards
TP

The way the structure of Maps that are preconfigured for you works is
that
your home state will be placed in a Maps folder and all other regions will
be in folders, such as Maps1WestCoast, Maps2Mountain and etc. Youcan
change
from the Mapssfolder to these other regions by pressing O for GPS Options,
M
for Map and POI Directory, selecting the drive, selecting the proper
folder
and confirming it.

Subject: [Braillenote] Maps question with the GPS software.
Hello, so I started learning how to use the GPS software which came
with my
Braille Note, and find it fascinating. I am having a problem though. My
local foundation who bought this unit for me thoughtfully set up the
software, installing all of the maps onto the card. I've read the
manual
thoroughly, but cannot find an answer to the problem which presents
itself.
I'd like to go exploring towns I'll not get the chance to visit in
other
states. When I switch to virtual mode with the reciever connected, it
only
selects my default state as Arizona, where I live. First of all, how
does my
Braille Note know that I'm in Arizona, and where is that default
setting,
and how do I change states? I know that all of the states maps are
physically on the card, but there seems to be no way to tell the
software
that I do have maps for other states. I seem to remember trying this
feature
briefly before when I first got the BN a year and a half ago, and it
worked
then. Any help?
Thanks a lot.
Matthew
