Hi Mike,
I don't know either but.
Did you have it working previously?
What operating system is on the PC: XP; Vista; ...?
On KS 7.5.29 using a Vista PC I plugged the USB cable into the PC
and the smaller client end into the BN.
I did not really use it for active sync but just to use the BN as
another drive to copy files to and from.
Regards,
Steve.

Subject: [Braillenote] active sync has stopped working
Hello fellow braillenote users,
I seem to be having a small problem with active sync. I'm using
an
Mpower bt
18 with keysoft 8. I've found, that when I atempt to connect my
bn and
pc to active sync, nothing happens. All the necessary connections
are in
place, and the (allow serial or infra-red connection with this
computer
checkbox within the program is set to checked, and the serial
option
under the miscellaneous options setup list is set to serial: But
no
matter what, the darn thing just won't connect. There's no error
message from either the computer or braillenote indicating that
anything's wrong, I just can't make a connection for some reason.
I
didn't
install the copy of active cync that came with the Mpower,
because I
already have a copy of it installed. I read through the section
of the
user's guide to see what I could find out, but it's all greek to
me.
There's not even a reference in the user's guide that mentions
anything
about connecting to active cync using the serial cable. I
don't understand any of this technical bla bla. What is all this
business about WMDC, bluetooth and synchronizing with outlook?
The
addressbook on the bn, is the only method I use to keep track of
my
contacts. I don't know anything about, nor do I use outlook.
Could
someone please tell me (in plain English) how I
should go about fixing this issue?
Thanks in advance.
Mike
Rochester, NY.Hello fellow braillenote users,

had already been installed from when I used it with the classic
machine. Any ideas as to what I can do about this?
Thanks in advance.
