On any device, just changing the file extension does not convert file.  In
most cases, it turns the file into absolute useless gibberish.  The only
time that you would ever really do this is if you needed to email a file
like a .zip or .exe that a server rejected, but you know that a .doc or .txt
would get through.

file change to the corresponding file format or if just the extension is
