Yes, I agree.  The Braille Lite that I used back in the day had a timer.  If
something that, well I don't know the word for it, can have features such as
a timer, calculate  current line, day number of the year, search across
files, and other things, I see no reason that the bn cannot.  Could it be
that the bn is too complex to perform these simple tasks easily?

Or even something as basic as a timer, for anything from knowing you have a
class or meeting in 2 hours and not wanting to schedule an appointment to
simply timing the cooking of food! We have a stopwatch, so just make it go
the other way!
