If you turn off the unit and insert the card, then turn the unit on, you will be fine. If you have build 31 of ks7.5 then yes, but earlier builds will not support the wifi g cards.

Have a great day,

So what you guys are saying is that for the most part, if I just insert the
Ambicom G into the compctflash card slot in the back, then there shouldn't
really be any problem? Does the Ambicom G work with Keysoft 7.5?

I got this Ambicom a few years ago, so it's probably the old one. That
would explain why mine works and yours doesn't. <smile>

If it is the B card (Ambicom wl1100C or the old Sandisk card) then you do
not ahve to worry; it is only the new Ambicom G cards, which do not work in the side slot with any adapter I have seen anyway, that cause problems. If you are using the G Ambicom card in the side slot, I think the list would
love to know what kind of adapter you have since most will not work.

I always insert my wireless card with the BN on, and have never had a
problem. I use my Ambicom card with an adapter in the PCMCIA slot; I don't
know if that makes a difference.

The only option is the Ambicom wl54G wifi card. I know humanware sells
them, but I am not sure if you can find them anywhere else. Remember (since hw will not tell you this): you must turn off your bn to insert the card; inserting the card with the unit powered on will cause it to lock up and
require you to reset.

Subject: [Braillenote] wireless g cards

Hello fellow braillenote users. I want to buy a wireless card and I
don't
know which one to get. I know that wireless B works well with the
mPower but
the problem is that they don't sell very many of those these days. Now
the
thing that they're selling are wireless G wireless cards. My problem is
that
I don't know for sure if wireless G cards would work on my braillenote
BT.
So is there anyone out there who can answer my question. My braillenote
is
keysoft ce version 7.5 build 31. If any one out there could help me
then
that would be great.
