As was already said, the card you have is the newer G card. This means that you must turn off the braillenote, put the card in, then turn the machine back on. However, since you do not have keysoft 7.5 or later, this card will not do anything, as much as I hate to say that. You may want to use an active sync connection. To do this, use the USB cable that came with your bn. Plug it into any Windows computer (like a laptop or desktop), then plug the other end into the bn. Either before or after this step, create a new connection configuration on the bn, calling it something like "activeSync" and selecting ethernet (not wireless) as the connection type. Anyway, get the bn set up on activeSync on the pc, then, assuming the computer has an internet connection, try going online using your "activeSync" connection. It should work as long as, in ActiveSync, you selected "do not set up a partnership" when prompted. I know this was poorly written and organized. If you try this and it does not work, let the list know and we can try to explain better. Best of luck!

Have a great day,
Alex

Subject: [Braillenote] Braille note freezing while wireless card's inserted?

--
Christina
Hi all,
I'm finding that when I insert the wireless card into the compact
flash card slot, the braille note will freeze. Even if I remove the
card it still won't do anything unless I do a reset and it's fine
until I reinsert the card then it freezes again. So I'm thinking this
could mean more than me just needing a software upgrade. Could it
just be the card itself? In case you want to know what kind of card I
have, it's one of those cards that only fit into the compact flash
card slot. It's like a credit card but a bit thicker and it has the
plastic where you place the card in the machine with the plastic side
upward.
Thanks,
