FTP, while nice, would require an upgrade to the underlying Windows CE
operating system. Therefore, it will not be done unless CE is
upgraded; if CE ever is upgraded and FTP does not appear, then is the
time to beg HW, but the current CE4.2 will not support it.

As to just using a laptop or a netbook, Peter is right; the main
reason I use my bn instead of a laptop, even though a laptop would be
much faster and would run all the software I need, is that my bn has a
braille keyboard and, almost more importantly, an integrated Braille
display, all driven by a very simple menu interface with the best
context help I have ever seen (try getting help in any part of Windows
without being taken to a complex webpage that never tells you what to
do). I also like writing Javascript code; it is fast and easy to
write, and the Braille lets me develop and debug easily, plus do my
work anywhere without the need for headphones or a laptop plus an
external display.
