Hi folks, Well, I have been busying myself with readings and solving math these days, with some stress with some financial aid being taken away. but well, I am here to post comments on recent posts.
I did follow our friend Dominique's suggestions closely. Congrats to Amanada who can finally venture out with her fixed BrailleNote. Some comments: . For Amanda: Well, as for the3 Wi-Fi cards, it depends on the model and KeySoft vversion you have. Here's the breakdown: Since you told us that you have an mPower, it pretty much depends on KeySoft version. If you have KeySoft 7.5.29 or later, you can use Ambicom WL54G and US Robotics USB adapter. If you have KeySoft 7.5.28 or earlier, you can use Ambicom WL1100C (so far). KeySoft 8.0 supports Ambicom WL54G and US Robotics adapter. . The FTP discussion: You can in fact view FTP sites on your BrailleNote. It is the same effect as viewing the site using Internet Explorer (as a page) instead of using Windows Explorer to view it (using files and folders list). If I understood Dominique's situation right, then what he is asking would be a way of using File Manager/Directory facilities to view FTP (is that right?) and manage the server, just like we can manage files and folders. One possibility that comes into my mind is using Network browsing capabilities and add support for FTP navigation using files and folders (just like one would navigate Network places). Also, by utilizing this, one can copy and manage files on that server. However, this FTP navigation feature is not supported by current Windows CE operating system. Either an upgrade of the OS is needed, or a File Manager tweak (either by HW or an external plugin, which is unlikely...) is needed. . As for Leslie's question, it depends on which screen reader you are using to control your BrailleNote. 'Hope the answers are simple enough. Cheers, Joseph ___ Replies to this message will go directly to the sender. If your reply would be useful to the list, please send a copy to the list as well.
