Hello,

I have been a long-time user of Humanware products. I got my first Humanware
product, the Alva Braille display in the early to mid 90s, and used it up
until 2002. I've used the Keynote gold, and I've used both the Braillenote
classic, Empower and pk. I have used other adaptive notetakers from other
companies, only to conclude that for reliability, stability and ease of use,
the humanware notetakers best suit my needs.

I'm estatic to hear the presentations about the new apex model. I look
forward to seeing it. The problem I have however, is the price. In the
United States the price of $6,195.00 represents a large purchase. Those of
us who might be purchasing the item for ourselves find it difficult if not
impossible to come up with this large amount of money. I respect the fact
that development of this type of item is costly. Nevertheless I ask
Humanware to relize that at least in the United States, we are facing
difficult economic times. Households are tending to cut back on large
purchases.

Further, the visually impaired and blind community to whom your product is
meant has limited to moderate income to purchase your product. Also, both
State and federal agencies, because of tight budgets, may be very reluctant
to spend this sum of money on a blind person for this equipment for work or
for school. As a result, the blind or visually impaired person may not
receive the device he needs to accomplish his/her goals.

Therefore, I am suggesting that the Humanware team consider some way of
making a payment lan available for people who want to purchase, but cannot
easily afford your products. While Humanware might not be able to make its
notetakers as affordable as it did the stream, I'm sure Humanware could
devise a payment plan like Sony, Dell etc for people to pay over time same
as cash.

Thank you for taking the time to read this message.
