Hi list members and HumanWare staf, Classes are going well (I have finally succeeded in creating a power rule derivative calculation function on my computer; I'm trying to figure out how to use reference parameters in C++ to calculate antiderivatives). Anyway.
As we celebrate the news about BrailleNote Apex, I have news of my own (a surprise, actually). The news? The launch of BrailleNote PBWorks 6.0 Public Beta! With this program, you can view what's coming up for version 6.0, as well as provide feedback and suggestions for the final release. Some of the new additions and modifications as of 6.0 Public Beta include: . Apex Corner: A new page dedicated to BrailleNote Apex, which can be found under Main Menu. This page presents some information about Apex, including FAQ's from HW website and Tech Talk audio presentation. . General modifications to the Support Hotline articles to reflect features as of BrailleNote Apex and KeySoft 9.0 (what we know so far). . Added "hardware compatibility list" to the list of Support Hotline articles. The compatibility page itself has been updated (not the products themselves but notes) to reflect that of Apex. . Several other new articles, including supported Bluetooth services/profiles. Some of the planned articles include: . Continued modifications to the support Hotline articles to reflect current KeySoft 8.0 and Apex features. . Revamped intro page (to be more friendly towards new users). . Anything that you suggest (given that I have time for it since finals are approaching). Notes on Public Beta 1: . The article modifications are not completed yet (mostly because the actual guy has not been shipped and used by users). . Information on the site can change without notice. . There will be more Public Beta versions (this is the first one); future Public Beta will focus more towards implementing your ffeedback and suggestions, revamped user interface/intro and Apex. . The last couple Public Betas (towards release time in January 2010) will focus on website compatibility with Apex - with actual Apex users visiting the site. The URL (address) is, as always has been, braillenote.pbworks.com. If you have any feedback, suggestions or comments, feel free to email me. Thanks for your continued support. Sincerely, Joseph S.
