Hi,
You can log into gmail's web site in a similar fashion.
As long as your email provider has a friendly web page, you can
probably do it with a good number of them.
Thanks for letting us know though - I hadn't thought to do so.
Regards,
Steve.

"He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth
not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the
name of the only begotten Son of God.
And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world,
and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds
were evil."

Subject: [Braillenote] an amazing discovery! about the
braillenote and AOL
Hello fellow braillenote users,
Like it says in my above subjectline, I've made an amazing
discovery
with my braillenote MPower! Remember way back in early 2000, when
the
bn first came out? and the only way we could connect to the
internet
was via a dialup connection? And if that wasn't enough, the email
service we used had to have a pop3 server? In fact, anyone who
used
America Online, was out of luck because there was no way for the
braillenote to access it. Well, today, I found out that that's
no
longer the case. I've discovered a really easy way to logon to
AOL
with the braillenote. Here's how to do it:
1 Assuming you already have an AOL account, once you get to the
address
prompt, type in the following address:
webmail.aol.com.
2 Press enter, and select your connection option like you
normally do.
3 Within moments, keysoft will say, "AOL signin."
4 Press space with dots #4 and #6 until you hear "Username text
input"
and type in your username.
5 Press space with dots #4 and #6 again to get to the password
text
input box, and type in your password.
6 Press space with dots #4 and #6 again to get to the signin
button.
Note, I've found, that when your filling out a form on the bn, it
won't
allow you to activate a button while your still sitting on an
input
box, like you can on the computer. Anyway, once you've submitted
your
cridencials, the America Online main page will come up.
7 Now, press space with dots #4 and #6 to get to the (check
mail)
button, press enter on it and your good to go. You'll be on your
email
account page.
8 To logoff, use the space with letter F command to find the
signout
icon, press enter on it, and you'll be logged off. That's all
there is
to it. Webmail is actually America Online's remote site. So if
you're
using a computer that doesn't have the AOL software installed, or
in
the case of the bn, where you aren't able to install the software
due
to technical reasons, with this site, you can access your AOL
account
regardless of whether the software is on the braillenote or not.
I hope
that this information will be helpful and useful to someone.
