This is not true at all. NVDA is fully compatible with both 32 and 64
bit operating systems, including XP, Vista and 7.

Siena,
NVDis a free screenreader and the question is does it have the drivers for
windows 7? Have you looked at the technical specs for NVDA to see if it
supports 64 bit software which is what Windows 7 is? Perhaps if you try to
find a notebook with windows xp it might be easier to get this combo to
work?

Subject: [Braillenote] Will ask again Re: MPower as braille display for
NVDA?
Hi everyone,
I hope you all had a merry Christmas and that you have a safe, healthy
and happy New Year 2010!
Here's my question: I got a new HP netbook as a gift, it runs under
Windows 7 and my sister installed NVDA on it for me. I have an MPower
QT running KS 7.5 Build 32 and would like to use it as a braille
display. Can this be done with NVDA, and if so, could you please give
me a step by step guide to help me configure it? Also, I'll need to
know what drivers and cables I'll need in order to do this. If you
need more information, please feel free to email me off list. Thanks
in advance for your help!
Best regards,
Siena.
