Hi Peggy and list, All in all I like it. The sound quality is good, having stereo sound is good, however, I've found that if my delete volume is high it interferes with the voice. Also, sometimes there's a radle, a vibrating sound when music is playing, but I don't know if that is just my Apex or if others will hear this too. I'll have to relearn how to type again on the Apex. The keys are very very easy to press down. They are quieter, but it seems that my fingers hands and rists have not made the transition to the new keyboard. My wife noticed that I hit the space bar with my right pointer finger and not my thumb. Hmmm, I did not know I was doing that. When I use a Braille Writer I use my thumb for the space bar. When you do a reset, it does take longer to start up. The record button is not as easy for me to find, but the reset button is much easier to find and press down. On the braille display the curser keys are very easy to diferenciate. They are like truncated domes. They feel nice to the touch. The Thumb Keys will also take me some getting use to. They are smaller and very easy to press, so easy that at first I thought I was not pressing them at all. I think that my typing, brailleing what ever you want to call it will get faster. My fingers feel as if they are flying. I don't know how true this is but it sure feels like it. The case has two flaps on either side of the unit. At first, I did not like that they were flapping this way and that, but I found that there is a tab of velcro on the big front flap that you can velcro them to. This is nice, they are out of the way and do not flap around. On the right side of the case there is the flap to take your Apex out to check your unit's number or if you want to change the battery. Removing the battery is no problem, do don't even need a scrue driver. Very simple. I can't at this time see me having any use for the wheel. I've never been a fan of wheels even on my Yamaha keyboards. This wheel seems cumbersome; it does not move, glide easily, it's hard to explain it. Sometimes it moves effortlessly and at other times it seems to stop. The best part of the wheel is that it's out of the way and that you can turn it off. Sorry for my scattered thoughts. Sorry to be so ignorant but what and where is the connections.cdb file My e-mail and address files did come through, but they came through when I did the first Restore that took 3 hours. I did not do that by hand, I don't know how it happend. My favorites did not come to the Apex, I don't know how to bring them over.
