Hi folks, particularly those who use an Apex, I am delighted to announce the availability of a compatibility version of PBWorks 6.0 for BrailleNote Apex. Well, not exactly a compatibility version, but to see if the information on the site is correct (as of the Apex release).
Some of the changes as of Public Beta 3 include: . Two exciting articles has been added to Scientific Calculator section on the Support Hotline. For a while, this section was not touched except for an article explaining statistical terms used in KeyPlus. These new articles are: . Setting decimal precision: To find out how to set decimal precision from none to up to nine decimal places. . Working with fractions: a tutorial-style article, detailing how to write and manipulate fractions on the BrailleNote's calculator, namely convert a fraction to decimals and vice versa, obtaining a reciprocal fraction and working with mixed number and improper fractions. . A new article on resetting BrailleNote to factory defaults has been added under Support Hotline. As of now, the information in that article reflects pre-apex units - Classic, PK and mPower. Once people experiment more with resetting the Apex, I'll add a footnote as to how to do this on the Apex. . The front page of the site has been updated to include instructions on how to navigate to the previous page or a site. The overall layout of the front page has not changed. . Some display issues, such as unwanted lines, is now cleaned up (I used paragraph reading commands to edit out these blank lines). . Some of the articles on the Support Hotline has been rearranged. Also, the "Miscellaneous" section has been renamed to "Other Issues" to better reflect the articles posted under this section, such as resetting BrailleNote to factory defaults and a tutorial on Support Information Mode. The purpose of this Beta is to mainly finish developing the core features of BrailleNote PBWorks 6.0, as well as transition to Release Candidate mode - where I can edit the content of the site (with your help) until the site is declared final. Also, this public beta is meant to receive feedback from BrailleNote Apex users in terms of accuracy of the site content, whether the site loads and works well with Apex and to clean out misinformation and fix spelling and other issues (with your help, of course). The site is, as it has been, braillenote.pbworks.com.
