Hi, all. My Apex will be arriving Monday, and I'd like to hear from those of you who already have Apexes (or is it Apeces? <lol>) about connections and turning on and off wireless, etc. I know therewas one person who had connection issues; not sure if there have been others. I'd like to try not to break my Apex on the first day I get it, so would appreciate any advice those who have it about do's and don'ts for the Apex.

With my mPower, I'd put in the wireless card, then go to options, connections, wireless, yes, then reconnect to an existing configuration (my home network). If I was visiting a website, after visiting it, I'd do options, connections, wireless, no, while back at the main menu. If I was downloading e-mail, once I got my messages downloaded, while still in Keymail, I'd do options, connections, wireless, no, while in the inbox.

Does this sound like it should work with the Apex? Should I go to the main menu before turning off wireless, or just make sure I turn off wireless before turning off the unit? Or does the order make a difference? Is wireless off by default?

I'm just a bit nervous at some of the issues some people have had, and want to do things in a way that will make my Apex a happy Apex. I've been without my personal BrailleNote for two months, and I don't want to have to go through this any time soon again. <grin>

So can you Apex owners share whatever words of wisdom you have about your units for those of us who are about to embark on the Great Apex Adventure? <grin>

Peggy <who can hardly wait until Monday!>
