I do not know about the Apex, but with the mPower
you might try operating it with the unit power cord
plugged in.

Hi List,
I have a 80 Gig Western Digital Passpor.
It's not work.
It did work at one time with my MPower.
I plugged it into both and Apex and the MPower and
it turts out
it's not working.
What can I do? Anything to trouble shoot.
It's a real-bummer if it's broken.
Any thoughts?

PS. When I plug it into the MPower, I can hear the
drive spin,
slow down, restart again spinning, slow down and
start spinning
again, over and over.
