The problem is not in the bn, it is the pc, most likely. I did this successfully over bluetooth with a friend's laptop running win7 64 bit.

1. Download ActiveSync for your version of Windows if you do not already have it. Install it and so on.

2. On the bn, plug in the cable. It should connect automatically, but if not, select "connect to activesync" in utilities.

3. A dialog will pop up on the pc. At this point, my friend just minimized everything without doing anything in this dialog and I was online, completely wirelessly thanks to the bluetooth.

The most important step above is to install ActiveSync since Windows 7 does not come with it built in like Vista and XP did. Note that win7 may not call it ActiveSync, but I think you will know it when you see it. If the above still refuses to work, let me know and I will ask my friend exactly what he did on the laptop.

Have a great day,
Alex

Subject: [Braillenote] a quick windows & bn question...

Hi everyone, When I connect to the windws 7 netbook I'm writing this from, I use a USB port and the BN. In the BN, I go to connectivity, create a new connection, and choose ethernet. But now I try to get on the net, and it says "Http 404 not found." Can anyone either call me b4 12 a. eastern at the number below (please identify yourself to the answering service when asked) or reply to the email , giving step by step instructions on how to fix the problem?
